The Strange, by Nathan Ballingrud, Signed, Inscribed Hardcover 1st Edition, 1st Print Like New, Near Fine to Fine Condition. The dust jacket only shows minimal wear and has a new Mylar Protector. The boards are straight and square, with sharp corners a just a hint of bending on the edges of the spine. The binding is still solid and the pages are clean and crisp, without creases, marks or tears. Published in March 2023 by Saga Press, this is the Hardcover 1st Edition, 1st Printing of The Strange by Nathan Ballingrud. The author is best known for his book North American Lake Monsters, which was the basis for the HULU series Monsterland, while MidWorld Press is also producing a limited edition of another if his titles, Atlas of Hell. This book was Signed and Inscribed "For Sam, a one-way ticket to Mars! - Nathan" by the author on the title page during an event at his local indie bookstore. It has the original $27.99 price on the dust jacket's inner front flap and a full number line to 1 on the copyright page along with a "First Saga Press hardcover edition" notation. It is NOT a book club edition and is NOT remainder marked. Described as a cross between Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles and Charles Portis' True Grit, it's very much a Martian "western" with 1930's era technology.
