Poems for Harry Crosby. First edition, limited issue, copy "AA" of 44 lettered copies on Hollande Van Gelder paper; there were a further 500 copies on Lafuma.Caresse wrote and published this title after her husband's suicide in 1929, two years after they founded the Black Sun Press together. "From easy end rhymes and natural images to a cold, free-verse expression of loss, Crosby's work was inflected by a modernist aesthetic even as it clung to an intimate and emotional sensibility" (Widmaier).
