from the library of renowned 19th-century woman bibliophile Sangermano, a missionary, worked in Burma from 1783 to 1806. His book provides a good description of Burma at that time. This English translation of 1833 is sought after. Mary Richardson Currer is probably the best-known woman book collector of the nineteenth century. Her books are generally in very attractive condition. First edition in English, 4to., viii, 224 pp., device on title, light browning to tile and occasionally elsewhere, contemporary half calf gilt, morocco label, lightly rubbed, a very good copy.
