the Shaw Commission of Inquiry report Officially known as the 'Report of the Commission on the Palestine Disturbances of August 1929' was the result of the British commission of inquiry, led by Sir Walter Shaw. The commission was came to investigate the violent rioting which took place in Palestine in late August 1929 (aka the Buraq Uprising) over the long-standing dispute between Muslims and Jews over access to the Western Wall in Jerusalem.
