Sal Fisher was awkward at handicrafts. Her sister Jane teaser her, and said she had "two left hands." Both Jane and Mother agreed that joining the Brownie Scouts might help Sal. But Sal wasn't even sure she wanted to be a Brownie. She did join, however. And right away she found other girls with problems- Linda who was too shy, and Virginia, who was too noisy. A wonderful, exciting year followed, full of troubles and triumphs.
