Written by a direct descendant of Pizarro, the author held office in the Supreme Council of Castile. The work is ostensibly a collection of biographical articles concerning the conquistadors, but there is a hidden agenda as the author intentionally promotes his ancestors’ achievements in the hopes of laying claim to their spoils of conquest, land grants and titles due to his ancestors. He is distinctly critical of those opponents of the Pizarro family. Provenace: Edwardo Lorenza 1729 inscription [bt.] Mr. Perrins 1792 [bt] Dalrymple West Lib. 1809 Tempsford Hall Library
