Historic early Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints publication Times and Seasons, the official newspaper printed in Nauvoo from 1839–1846. This twice-monthly newspaper documented some of the most important events and teachings of the early LDS Church, including the growth of Nauvoo, construction of the Nauvoo Temple, early temple ordinances, and writings from Joseph Smith and other church leaders. Times and Seasons also published significant historical documents such as the Articles of Faith, the Wentworth Letter, and portions of the Book of Abraham. Later issues recorded events surrounding the 1844 martyrdom of Joseph and Hyrum Smith and the succession of church leadership under Brigham Young and John Taylor. A highly collectible piece of early American and Mormon history, valued by historians, researchers, and collectors of religious memorabilia. See my other auctions for rare finds.
