The Potting Shed. First UK edition, first impression, inscribed by the playwright on the title page, "For Clive, after the ordeal. From Graham Greene". Clive Hirschhorn (b. 1940), was the film and theatre critic for the Sunday Express for over three decades. His ownership inscription, dated 1958, appears on the front pastedown.The Potting Shed opened at the Bijou Theatre on Broadway on 29 January 1957. It was first published in the US in 1957 by the Viking Press.
