The Price. First edition, first printing, inscribed by the author on the title page, "To Clive Hirschhorn with all good wishes, Arthur Miller, California 1986".Written as a response to the Vietnam War, the play premiered on 7 February 1968 at the Morosco Theatre in New York City. It was directed by Ulu Grosbard and featured Harold Gary, Pat Hingle, Kate Reid, and Arthur Kennedy.
