Standing Orders of the Sixteenth Queen's Lancers.

£80 · Offered by Maggs Bros Ltd

The first regulations for the regiment were issued in India in 1828 but were then deemed irrelevant to home service. This copy has a contemporary ownership inscription (Capt. F. L. Dashwood) and tipped-in at the rear, a manuscript Return of July, 1852: “State of Captain F. L. Dashwood’s Troop”. There are other later (1890) regimental details in inked manuscript on the paste-downs and opposite the title page.
