Dutch birds Nozeman's work, Nederlandsche Vogelen, which he couldn't finish, became the first comprehensive account of the avifauna of Holland and was the most expensive book for sale in Holland at the time. The plates of the book depict all species known in the Netherlands through the time of publication and frequently feature eggs and nests.
