The Gododdin. First Dolmen edition, one of 650 copies, this copy inscribed on the limitation page to John Coulter, likely the Irish playwright, by the book's designer, "in Toronto in February 1978, for John Coulter on his ninetieth birthday, in admiration & friendship, Liam Miller."Desmond O'Grady, the Irish poet, translates a medieval Welsh poem by Aneiren, a survivor of the battle of Catraeth, in which the kingdom of Gododdin united the Welsh and Picts against the Angles. The illustrator, Louis Le Brocquy, was known for his portraits of Irish writers and his cave-like illustrations of the Irish epic "Táin Bó Cúailnge".
