This first edition, despite lacking its general map, is still considered a rarity and as with all handbooks to France, contains no description of Paris. First edition. pp. xxxix, 595, 23 adverts at rear dated April 1843 on blue paper, 4 maps, lacks map at rear, inner hinges slightly cracked; publisher's brown cloth partly split otherwise a very good copy.
