The publisher used these prints during preparation for Nat Finkelstein's 1989 book Andy Warhol: The Factory Years 1964-1967, first published in the Netherlands by Bébert Editions, Rotterdam, under the title Andy Warhol: 'Oh this is fabulous.' 'It was a great party, a speedfreak's dream, the great American Fantasia, full of fun, frolic and forget-me-nots,' Finkelstein recalls. 'Some of guests left in limousines, some in ambulances, others never found the door. I was intrigued: the walls were silvered, the toilet didn't flush, people were doing weird things all over the weird place. The art was incredible, the music great and the natives were kinky.' These prints include photographs taken at The Factory, Leo Castelli's gallery, and other locations. They show Warhol and members of his circle, including The Velvet Underground and his first Superstar, Baby Jane Holzer. 20 gelatin silver photographs (89 x 127 mm, 3½ x 5 in or the reverse); in mounts.
