Crommelin is presumably one of the sisters of the novelist and travel writer May Crommelin, who was it would seem a correspondent with Fergus Hume; both authors had works published by John Long. First edition, signed presentation copy from the author, inscribed at the head of the first page of text; 8vo; advertisements at beginning and end, patterned endpapers, stitching pulled in places with some mild springing to gatherings; publisher's decorative cloth, marked and slightly bubbled; with another, near fine copy of the same.
