De Moribus Brachmanorum

£125 · Offered by Maggs Bros Ltd

Fine. An early Christian treatise in Latin edited anonymously by Pound. Historically attributed erroneously to St Ambrose, the text is in fact a free translation of the ‘De gentibus Indiae et Bragmanibus’, written by the bishop Palladius. First in a planned series of texts edited ‘[A Po]und,’ hence the imprint title of ‘Apo Editions’.
