rare publisher's slip This excellent copy with rare publisher's slip was issued in February 1862. First issued in 1855, 'Paris' was the last series started by Karl Baedeker himself before he died in 1859. The series continued until 1937. This copy has a very rare publisher's warning about a fake publication by A. Bohne which was taken from the third edition. Fourth edition. xxxii, 292pp, 15 maps and plans, including the coloured plan pasted down on rear endpaper, publisher's slip tipped in at front pastedown; publisher's red cloth old style binding, gilt lettering bright; a very good bright copy.
