A rare glossary of Persian military words, with many technical terms and other vocabulary covering warfare more generally (weaponry, injuries etc.). Each word is given in English and Farsi, the latter in a slightly cramped Persian naskh . There are two appendices at the end of the volume. The first provides a list of ranks in the Persian Army (including “ranks which have no exact parallel in the British or Indian Army”) and the second lists musketry terms. Rare. No copies in LibraryHub. OCLC locates just one copy, at the University of Pennsylvania. There is also a copy in the India Office Records at the British Library (IOR/L/MIL/17/15/38).
