COPIE D'UNE LETTRE DES COMMISSAIRES NATIONAUX-CIVILS, A L'ASSEMBLÉE PROVINCIALE DE L'OUEST [caption title]. A letter dated March 3, 1792, from the French commissioners in Saint Domingue, Ignace-Frédéric de Mirbeck and Roume de St. Laurent, to the provincial government at Port-Au-Prince admonishing them for adopting resolutions that surpass their authority and for flouting the interests of the French government as represented by their officers in Cap Français. They inform the provincial assembly that they consider the resolutions void, and that if the assembly annuls them, the matter need not proceed any further. A rare Saint Domingue imprint, not in OCLC or the FRENCH UNION CATALOG.
