A posthumous collection bringing together some of Jevons’s major early works on logic, edited by the philosopher Robert Asamson and Harriet Jevons, the author’s wife, and including the first appearance in book form of the essay ‘J. S. Mill’s Philosophy Tested’. The title essay ‘Pure Logic’, originally published in 1864, was Jevons’s first published work on logic.
