A notable exponent of Mozart, Richard Tauber had a wide-ranging career from operetta to appearances in popular film. Although he was born in Austria, he moved to London during the war. He is buried in Brompton Cemetery, in SW London. First edition, with tipped-in card bearing his signature and dated 1937, 8vo (225 x 155m); frontispiece photographic print of the author with her husband, Richard Tauber, further illustrations taken from photographs, publisher's red cloth, illustrated dust-jacket, a little chipped and creased at extremities, a bit rubbed, otherwise very good.
