First edition, this one of large-paper issue with India proofs, tall 8vo, 3 & 68pp., 12 mounted plates; a very good copy in 19th-century blue polished calf gilt with some wear to extremities and scattered minor scuff-marks, titled in gilt on front cover, gilt decorated spine in 6 compartments, page edges browning, not affecting illustrations, not preserving the original wrappers. Cohn 36 identifies the author as C.
