First edition, first printing, limited issue, number 345 of 350 copies signed by the author, additionally inscribed on front free endpaper, "to Keith Baker, John Updike", together with a postcard from Updike referring to the author "preparing a fat indecent novel for the fall, with a wonderful limited edition".Keith Baker (1906-1986) worked for the Baker Paper Co., a company founded in 1899 by his father, and eventually became owner of the business. He was an avid collector of books. His archive, including correspondence and manuscripts from Mailer, Nabokov, Roth, and Updike, is held at the Lilly Library, Indiana University.Rabbit is Rich is the third novel in Updike's Rabbit series, featuring Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom. It was reviewed in the New York Times as "a splendid achievement" and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1982.
